Pulaski Mennonite Church was established in 1861 by a group of German speaking Amish Mennonites who settled in Davis County Iowa in the 1850's. The first Mennonite church building was erected in 1864.
In the early years, our people were largely descendents of Amish and Mennonite families. They came from the Eastern regions of the United States and Ontario, Canada. Others immigrated from Switzerland, the Palatinate region of Germany and the Alsace region of France. As membership increased, a new structure was built in 1885. It still serves as our main sanctuary.
Today, our people are more diverse. We have been blessed to worship and fellowship with people from different walks of life and ethnic backgrounds.
The Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ in
Matthew 28:19 is our vision for the future.
